Ben Sargison-Bowler is the Gascoines Player of the Month!

In introducing the award, club President, Conrad Hunt explained that ‘although the U11s had enjoyed their rugby this season, the repeated cancellation of both training sessions and matches since Christmas had created a stop/start situation which meant that the players had to really step up when they had the opportunity to play.

One player who had consistently delivered on match days was Ben Sargison-Bowler who was well-known for his fearsome tackling and driving runs which helped the team to create both momentum and confidence and had sparked some very impressive play in recent
matches.

In addition he said that Ben was also a selfless player and was always looking for teammates to pass to, even if he had made the hard yards in getting to the line - but that hadn’t stopped him racking up a hatful of tries this season!’

Conrad concluded by congratulating Ben on his award, after which the trophy was duly presented by Gascoines Group Director and 1st team player, Luke Saywell.

Well done Ben!

PS as soon as he received his prize, a large tin of sweets, it was opened straight away and shared with teammates!
