Cory Carter is Gascoines Player of the Month for October!
October provided the opportunity for a member of the U10s squad coached by Paul Rich and Mark Lewis to be nominated as the Gascoines Player of the Month.
In his introduction the new Southwell RUFC President, Conrad Hunt, explained that with a number of very good players in the squad it was not an easy decision to select one individual to be put forward.
At the coaches request he made special mention of Sam Pamplin, who only joined this season and thrown himself into everything he had been asked to do and also Elmer Rich, who had developed very well this year and become a very important part of the team. The winner, however, was Cory Carter, who had been described to him as ‘a little workhorse, who does the dirty jobs well, hits every ruck and understands that little things make a difference’.
The trophy was then presented by Gascoines Group director, Luke Saywell, and Cory chose a tub of chocolates to share with his teammates, which made him even more popular!
Congratulations to Cory!
PS an extra mention to his Dad, Mick Carter, who is as stalwart of the weekly Touch Rugby group and made his debut for the Bandits earlier this season
