I sit here alone putting finger to keyboard (as opposed to - pen to paper) thinking about what did actually happen at this time on Saturday - fair to say it has been an emotional week, from selection on Tuesday, Luke having had 18 players available Wednesday, down to 13 players by 4pm Friday, to putting out 19 then 20 by 2:55pm to 21 players at half time.

For those of you that have never watched our side before, we never under any circumstances look good in a warm up! It's important to show you have absolutely no idea what you're doing - Backs must drop balls - Lineout warms must never appear organised - It is something I have learnt over the years, but it still fills me with absolute fear everytime I look over my shoulder and watch the oppostion run their drills - Saturday was no different, and Paviors are no mugs.

So the game, quite simple really - let our well drilled opposition camp in our 22 for probably the best part of 25 minutes - we tackled with passion and pride. Won the ball once, gave it to whoever we thought was the fastest person, and easy break away TRY. Last 15 minutes of the first half - management were heard to say "more of the same" - so our team who always do as they are told, repeated the above

Oh! - forgot the 2 yellow cards, down to 13 which let in our oppositions only try.

At half time in our round up it was quite worrying when our captain comes up with a phase which was something like " A good defense wins championships" - this is a sign of intelligence and maturity we are not used to.

The second half in a way was quite the reverse, the only difference being is we took our opportunities. We camped in their half - that might be a slight exaggeration - apologises to anyone from Pavs reading this but it sounds good! but you did get 2 yellow cards.

So, yep a 38 - 7 win!
