The under 12's showed great commitment taking 13 players all the way to Market Rasen on Mother's Day. We were forced to play 9 a side due to low Mkt Rasen numbers so went back to 3 man scrums.

Southwell started brightly, moving the ball well through the hands and took an early lead. Alex Gilmore, not our most prolific try scorer, crossed over the line twice thanks to great support play. Henry Townsend scored Southwell's try of the game that was made by some great handling and very strong work from George Smith. Despite a few handling errors throughout the game, Southwell remained in control and eased through winning the game 9 - 3.The coaches are trying to encourage a passing game which demands straight running, constantly supporting runners and a high level of ball skills and so errors will be made as they learn. Well done to all of the players and a special mention to all of their Mums

Congratulations to Player of the Week, George Smith. An all round strong performance including a great charge down followed by a great tackle that led to a Southwell try.
