Sunday 20th February - Newark (away)
Another horrible wet Sunday morning made for a bit of a scrappy game away at Newark.
Newark scored 3 early tries as we struggled to find our way in the game. Our rucking was a little lethargic as we kept getting counter rucked in the game, failing to get the ball away from the ruck when it was available. The boys struggled string passes together until, yet again, very late on in the game. When they did manage to do so Noah Scott found himself in open space in midfield to sore a great team try. The game ended up with Newark winning by 7 tries to 4. We know that we can play a lot better than we did but only lost the game by those 3 tries so we'll work hard at training and improve for next week when we are due to play another local derby away at Mellish.
Pictured is Ollie Warham who's work effort both in attack and defence was fantastic throughout the morning. We have not come across anyone in our age group who tackles as effectively as Ollie all season.
